FALKLAND LAVENDER Perezia recurvata

Falkland Lavender is named purely for its colour as it has no scent. Forms small clumps or bushes, a rather woody, stiff and spiky, evergreen shrub. Flowers appear December to January and may be any shade from deep lilac to bluish white.

Favours rocky and sandy areas, often close to the sea or on Diddle Dee heath. Found on East and West Falklands and on neighbouring Fuegia, Andean Patagonia to 47°S.
